چکیده

Explore and critique Fowler and Christakis et al. work on social contagion of: images in Figure 1 generates a matrix of shortest network path distances from each node to all other nodes in the network and repositions nodes so as to reduce the sum of the difference between the plotted distances and the network distances (Kamada & Kawai, 1989). The fundamental pattern of ties in a social network (known as the “topology”) is fixed, but how this pattern is visually rendered depends on the analyst’s objectives.
